Role Summary:The Data Systems Manager will manage the culinary data that is the backbone of the program. This role will review and validate ingredient costs of recipes, communicate to admins and Culinary Development Kitchen (CDK) counterparts any inaccuracies, and provide data analysis on the accuracy of data, usage of recipes, and operation and production reports linked to Menu Planner and Buffet Consumption. This role will govern the core recipe and production data and will be responsible for any additional integration of allergen/ingredient systems. The Data Systems Manager has a passion for data management and integrity, has an eye for detailed processes and provides guidance within the culinary program. The great things you will be expected to do:

Management of data flowing throughout the EMS system:

Creation and assignment of recipes to locations for production module activation

Validate recipe costs by reviewing sensitive and confidential ingredient pricing through partnership with the procurement team

Supervision of modifications to any existing recipes to meet the needs of Google Food program

Maintain the status of company products as directed by the procurement team and update ingredient changes

Activate company products as needed and as requested by culinary for menu cycles or product changes

Coordinate with the Technical Support and Training Coordinator with recipe and menu planner activation issues in CrunchTime

Coordinate with CDK counterpart for recipe card updates based on the data stored in CrunchTime

Management of accurate data from EMS to client allergen and ingredient database

Works with direct Manager to ensure all sector and Compass employee guidelines are implemented and adhered to

Treats everyone with professionalism, care and respect

Other projects and assignments as assigned by your direct manager and leadership

Minimum QualificationsTechnical

Bachelor’s degree, or comparable experience, highly preferred

Culinary operations experience, preferred

Intermediate level experience working with and management of enterprise-level culinary software (at least 4-6 years)

Proven ability to manage data and documentation with an eye for detail and accuracy

Working knowledge of Google Workspaces (e.g. Google Sheets, Docs, etc.) and other Microsoft applications (Excel)

Working knowledge of database management and formulas

Program Advocacy

Ability to speak and present effectively in a group setting to Associates, Managers and our Partners and represent the Google Food Brand

Ability to translate asks into actual needs; separating the ask into the programmatic need; problem solver

Ability to make recommendations that will positively impact our food program

Leadership & Communication

Organized and dynamic thinker that is comfortable with executing and managing process

Be comfortable navigating difficult conversations, across different audiences

Ability to effectively communicate, motivate and interact with all levels within the organization

Maintain a positive attitude under pressure and motivate team

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
