Painter Apprentice
What to expect: As a Painter Apprentice, you will develop your career under the direct supervision of qualified Journeymen Painters.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Performing support duties to assist journeyman painters and other apprentices
· Applying protective coverings such as masking tape to articles or areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes (including pre-finished surfaces)
· Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, and sanding as necessary
· Filling cracks or breaks in surfaces of plaster articles for areas with putty or epoxy compounds patching trade damaged
· Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
· Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when working with paints and chemicals
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Cleaning work areas and equipment
· Learning to use the equipment and how to inspect equipment before each use
· Bringing the minimum required tools to work everyday

Experience:
· Proven experience in construction painting - REFERENCES WILL BE CHECKED.
· Knowledge of different painting techniques and material
· Proficient in caulking, drywall, stucco.
