The Lifeline Program (Lifeline) is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that is designed to help low-income families & households especially those who were negatively impacted by the pandemic. This new benefit program will connect eligible households to more job opportunities and help families to connect to healthcare services from the comfort of their home.
Who Qualifies for Lifeline?
-A household is eligible if one member of the household meets at least one of the criteria below:
-Has an income that is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines;
-Participates in certain assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, SSI, WIC, or Lifeline
-Meets the eligibility criteria for a participating provider's existing low-income program
-The Lifeline monthly service and device discounts cannot be transferred to other individuals or households. An eligible household is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount
Participants must provide physical or digital documents of the following that are legible and unexpired:
-Eligibility (i.e. Letter or benefit card)
-Valid form of identification (i.e.Passport, State ID, BirthCertificate)
-Social Security Card
