Duties and Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, provides routine security support for PDNA as described in the following:
General Duties for all security shifts:
Provide customer service to everyone and determine who should have access on property.
Answers and direct all telephone calls.
Screen all vehicles for pets. Identifies pets to make sure they belong to a homeowner and to enforce the leash rules.
Distribute keys when needed to maintenance personnel, contractor/vendors and guests.
Handle disturbance calls, seeking help from Lead and the General Manager.
Write up work orders and put it the Admin bin (get clear instructions).
Prepare a daily log for Security and Management.
Receive and respond to numerous emails daily.
Possibly provide security at events held in one of our event buildings.
They may be required to respond to a fire alarm and either reset the alarm if there is not actually a fire or direct the Fire Department to the correct location.
Swing Shift responsibilities:
Sometimes security personnel will split their responsibilities between time in the gatehouse and property patrol.
Sort mail when needed
Prepare all documents for the next day
Call the departures at the end of day for current status
Graveyard Shift responsibilities:
Security staff spend time out on the property assuring the various buildings are properly secured and there is no unusual activity. The primary focus is to physically check vacant units and buildings and fill out a checklist of items and prepare a work order if maintenance work is needed. This shift also delivers the newspapers to each unit.
