Join the SPCA Monterey County’s Humane Investigations team! Basic requirements include college degree, Criminal Justice preferred, one to two years minimum professional animal handling and welfare experience, criminal justice experience helpful, current California driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to effectively communicate with and educate the public utilizing exceptional customer service skills is a requirement. Must have successfully completed Laws of Arrest PC832, previous experience as an Animal Care/ Veterinarian Assistant, must have investigation and report writing skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays required. Starting rate for Community Service Officer Position is $20.00 - $22.00/hour, and starting rate for the Humane Investigations Officer position is $22.00 - $26.00/hour, DOE.
