Pacific Repertory Theatre, in Carmel, California, is looking for an Audio/Visual Director to oversee theatrical lighting, sound and video operations at the newly renovated Golden Bough Playhouse in Carmel, home of Pacific Repertory Theatre, the regions only year-round professional theatre company.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. Prior experience in technical operations of theatrical productions.

2. Strong technical skills and robust experience in lighting, sound and AV applications in live theatre.

2. Current technical theater knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of theatrical lighting, sound and video/data projection equipment.

3. Experience in production lighting, sound/AV design, implementation, budgeting, and scheduling.

4. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

5. Knowledge of procedural best practices and all health and safety regulations as they apply to theatres.

Preferred:

1. Knowledge of and experience working with QLab software.

2. Master Electrician skills desirable.

3. Experience with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, and software applications for spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling.

4. Ability to oversee and work alongside professional and student employees from diverse backgrounds.

5. Ability to work cooperatively in the PacRep theatrical community, connecting and sharing resources with colleagues from other local producing organizations.

Work Type:

Preferred: Full Time: 100%, but willing to discuss a less than full-time position.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated theatre work location.

Salary (FT):

Range $44,000 – $48,000, doe, plus benefits, including medical and pension.

The typical starting salary for this position is $44,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The salary will be paid out over 12 months. Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as sick leave; paid vacation time; and significanto health and retirement benefits.
