Join our team at Stonepine Equestrian Center / Double H Ranch!
Stonepine is a century-old historic estate with an Equestrian Center that houses up to 50 horses.
It's comprised of 400+ acres with several miles of riding/hiking trails, nestled in Carmel Valley.
We're looking for a Stable/Ranch Hand that will represent Stonepine as you support our boarding facilities, our clients, and their horses.
The responsibilities include ensuring the health and safety of the horses through feeding, cleaning stalls, and maintenance of the facility.
You will be part of a team who also provide daily horse turnout services.
Your ultimate goal is to ensure that all the horses thrive in a safe and healthy environment.
Responsibilities
Adhering to a cleaning and/or feeding schedule
Removing manure and wet bedding from stalls
Adding bedding to stalls
General waste management
General and routine maintenance
Watering and dragging arenas if you have the relevant experience
Keeping barns tidy, raking and sweeping
Occasional grooming duties
Alerting stable management of problems with the animals
Schedule requirements:
Must have schedule flexibility, i.e., take your weekends during the week
Must be an early riser, i.e., work from 7am - 4pm
Skill requirements:
Basic knowledge of horses preferred
Tractor and/or advanced maintenance experience is a plus!
Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
Responsible and trustworthy
High school diploma
