Drew-Massa Cooling, Inc. seeks experienced forklift operators for year around work in Salinas produce cooler to load and unload pallets of fresh produce from refrigerated trucks and trailers. The job requires good attention to detail and dependable attendance. Regular bi-weekly pay and company paid medical plan available to employees. Employees need to be able to work weekends. Use of computer to check orders and emails is a plus.
SAFETY/GMP/Misc:
o Prior to operating a forklift, sign out for the forklift, conduct required safety inspection of the forklift, complete required safety inspection form, and only operate the lift if it is in safe working order. Report safety concerns or damage to the forklift immediately to the supervisor.
o Must demonstrate proficiency in safe handling of forklift.
o Maintain and work in accord with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration norms.
o Adhere to GMP’s in accordance with company policy.
o Must be able to work any shift and be able to work in an environment of 36F.
o Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
o Must successfully complete and pass fork lift certification test.
o Other duties as assigned, such as Repacking product.
