Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Caregiver to join our team. The CNA/Caregiver will provide essential care and support to patients in our recuperative care program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others, have excellent communication skills, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Direct Patient Care:
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) and report any changes to the nursing staff.
Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as prescribed.
Provide basic medical care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including wound care and administration of medications as directed.
Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
Emotional Support:
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
Listen to and address patient concerns and relay important information to the appropriate staff members.
Operational Support:
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
Ensure proper sanitation of patient rooms and common areas.
Help with meal preparation and feeding patients as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
TRANSPORT- MUST HAVE CAR AND VALID LICENSE
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
Participate in team meetings and provide input on patient care plans.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
USE Microsoft TEAMS, ZOOM, etc to communicate
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
High school diploma or GED.
NOT REQUIRED- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Physical stamina to assist with patient transfers and mobility.
Working Conditions:
Work hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Hotel setting
Computer, clerical work
Notes required during shift
Must be able to lift and move patients as needed.
Exposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids.
