Dental Scheduling Coordinator, front desk needed for established local Periodontal specialist.

We are a modern, state of the art dental practice providing the most advanced surgical dental treatments, seeking a highly organized, experienced, detail-oriented Dental Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient scheduling, ensuring the smooth flow of appointments, and providing exceptional customer service both by phone and in person. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a passion for delivering top-notch patient care.

Responsibilities:

Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using our dental software system.

Communicate effectively with patients to confirm appointments and answer any questions they may have regarding scheduling and/or treatment. Coordinate which is why experience is required.

Communicate with Dental providers and teams to optimize scheduling efficiency and patient flow.

Maintain patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.

Assist with insurance verification and processing as needed.

Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients both in-person and over the phone.

Collaborate with the dental team to address any scheduling concerns or conflicts.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a dental office or medical setting preferred.

Proficiency with dental scheduling software (e.g., Dentrix, DSN Perio Exec, MS Office ) is a necessary.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is advantageous.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in dental assisting or office management is a bonus.
