ABOUT THE POSITION:
The City of Monterey currently has one Public Works Administrative Services Manager vacancy, which is a full-time position in the Public Works Department. Under general direction of the Public Works Director, the Public Works Administrative Services Manager is a Management level position assigned to oversee personnel management, finance administration and business analysis, technology and information management, and communications and to initiate and implement efficient managerial practices and operational procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of accredited college or university with a degree in public administration, business administration, financial management, or a related field.
Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public administration or business administration, in areas such as personnel, administrative analysis, contract administration, or facility management, and minimum of two (2) years of full-time supervisory experience in a direct or lead role. Experience in a public agency is desirable. A Master’s degree in a related field highly desirable and may be substituted for one year of required experience.
