This is a great role within our culinary team and has wide ranging responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in running a full service kitchen, with a diverse team and handling high volume. We are a scratch kitchen and are looking for someone with a passion for local ingredients.
Top skills we are looking for:
- High level of culinary experience. Familiar with cooking in a scratch kitchen, including prep, production, butchery, pasta making and so on. Need to be able to run the line and expedite, ensuring all plates meet expectations.
- Managerial Experience: The Sous Chef is responsible for employee coaching / discipline and training of staff.
- Menu Development: Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef with menu development. We require items to be properly costed with thorough R&D to be done before approval. Creative freedom is not only allowed, but encouraged.
- Administrative duties will be involved in monthly inventory and ordering on a regular basis.
