The Innkeeper plays a crucial role in delivering a seamless and luxurious in-house guest experience at our estate. This role demands a dynamic individual with a passion for hospitality, culinary skills, and strong leadership abilities. The Innkeeper will oversee guest services, manage a team of concierges and housekeepers, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. On-call support for in-house guests is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience Management:

Welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel at home throughout their stay.

Oversee the preparation of guest rooms, ensuring amenities are provided and rooms are in pristine condition.

Coordinate guest check-in and check-out procedures for a smooth and efficient process.

Address and resolve guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Supervise 1-2 concierges who assist in providing top-notch guest services.

Culinary Services:

Work with in-house team to ensure that breakfast is served daily when we have in-house guests (typically on weekends during events), accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences.

Ideally be able to prepare and serve lunch and dinner in select cases.

Housekeeping Management:

Lead and manage the housekeeping team to ensure all rooms and common areas are cleaned to the highest standards.

Develop and maintain a consistent cleaning schedule, ensuring timely and thorough cleaning of all guest rooms and estate areas.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and upkeep meet or exceed expectations.

Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient use and replenishment as needed.

Support housekeeping activities directly when required.

On-Call Support:

Provide on-call support for in-house guests, addressing any immediate needs or concerns.

Escalate to Resident Manager and/or General Manager (also living on site) when required.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in hospitality management, ideally in a luxury or boutique hotel setting.

Culinary skills with the ability to prepare breakfast, and ideally lunch and dinner if needed, for guests.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing Bed & Breakfast or small hotel.

Culinary training or certification.

Previous experience in managing housekeeping teams.
