Job Title: Drafter for Residential Homes
Location: Carmel, CA
We’re a Design and Build firm looking for a talented, detail-oriented drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, on time, meets deadlines, and proficient in CAD, and Google Sketch Up.
What You’ll Do:
- Draft plans for new homes, remodels, and additions
- Conduct site visits and take field measurements
- Collaborate with the design team and consultants to meet deadlines
- Ensure accuracy and organization in all drawings
- Review and integrate consultant reports into plans
- Prepare plan sets for municipal submittals
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 5 years of drafting experience (home design experience is a plus!)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to manage your time and work independently and with a team
- Manages and meets deadlines
- On time
- Familiarity with building plans, elevations, sections, and detailing
- Must have a reliable vehicle for site visits
Education:
- An associate degree or technical training in CAD or drafting
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
