The Avian and Exotic Clinic of Monterey is a small, two doctor practice located in Del Rey Oaks, CA. Our clinic focuses exclusively on exotic pets including, but not limited to birds, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, and hedgehogs. We are currently looking for a full-time receptionist who has a passion for helping pets and their owners to join our wonderful team.
Specific Duties
-Greeting clients, welcoming, and directing/announcing them appropriately
-Maintaining the daily schedule and client/patient records using Avimark Software
-Checking clients in and out, including collection of payment at time of service
-Follow-up for appointment reminder, call backs and other client telephone interactions
-Request patient information from different veterinary practice when need.
-Phone triage and call backs
-Working with the Doctors and other clinic personnel to relay prompt message and any follow up needed
-Other general administrative duties
Qualification and Skills
-Solid communication skills both verbal and written
-Punctual
-Willingness to learn
-Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, pay great attention to detail and work under pressure
-Excellent telephone and customer service skills
-Ability to work in close quarters with exceptional teamwork.
-Bilingual preferred but not required
-Veterinary experience a plus
Education Requirements
-High school diploma
Job Type
Part-time (Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-12pm)
Salary
Will depend on experience.
