We are seeking a responsible individual to clean both the interior and exterior of vehicles while adhering to company standards and following safety measures. The primary responsibility includes cleaning all exterior and interior windows and mirrors. Additionally, the role may involve various other tasks depending on the work environment.

The following is an example of a car detailer's job description, highlighting the major tasks, duties, and responsibilities commonly assigned by employers:

- Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation and functionality.

- Use cleaning supplies and equipment such as brushes, scrapers, vacuums, and cleaning solutions to perform vehicle cleaning.

- Preserve, protect, and restore vehicle interiors and exteriors by applying polishes, conditioners, waxes, and/or protective materials.

- Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness and any potential damage.

- Conduct quality assurance inspections on personal work to ensure maximum quality.

- Clean and dress engine compartments, wheels, and tires to remove grease and dirt.

- Provide customer support by responding to client inquiries and fulfilling requests promptly.

- Manage inventory and reorder supplies as necessary.

- Move and park vehicles, and deliver them to the appropriate locations.

In addition to these tasks, car detailers are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area and reporting any unsafe or hazardous conditions to management. They also complete out-of-service tags and ensure vehicles are moved to the maintenance area, identifying and pulling vehicles eligible for turn back or flagged for grounding or preventative maintenance, verifying their movement to the correct lot location.

To work as a car detailer, a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is typically required. However, post-high school training or certification as an auto detailer technician is preferred.
