This job may be perfect for you if you are looking for a part-time, flexible work hours opportunity, with an anticipated weekly commitment of 5 to 10 hours.

We are a laid back, easygoing bookkeeping firm with a modern tech approach and collaborate with our clients to keep accurate financials. If you are someone who prefers to work independently, can adapt to using templates, Canva, and modern softwares, then we may be a good fit. Everyone who has worked with us has left with clarity on what they can offer the world, and improved communication skills. Despite us being easy, we do expect you to have a solid work ethic.

This is an hourly, part-time employment/contractor position.

Anticipated weekly commitment is between 5 and 10 hours, with increased hours (up to 15) in the first week of each month to accommodate for month end duties. Quarterly and year-end reconciliation may also require additional hours (varies, and up to 20). Additional hours may be needed during training period. Hours are flexible.

Looking for someone who wants to jump right in to a flexible position with the opportunity for growth. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple companies, reconciling accounts including payroll, assisting with month-end closing procedures, preparing financial reports and summaries, and performing occasional journal entries.

Qualifications

- Must have some proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role (such as an Office Admin with Bookkeeping experience)

-Able to perform tasks under little supervision

-Tech Savvy and able to learn new technology with ease

-Can work in Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Excel with ease

-Well-spoken and articulate in communicating professionally and informally over the phone, on video conferences, in person, and in writing

- Time management skills for a 100% remote setting

- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Xero

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

- Ability to perform account reconciliations

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize deadlined tasks effectively

-Must be available during daytime working hours 9am-4pm PST

-Canva experience is a plus

Pay

Contractors generally have a fluctuating schedule and in the past have earned $30k per year for part time work. This will not be immediate, and the hours are offered gradually to ensure you actually know what you are doing. If you are looking for something to grow with, this is a great start.
