Some of the duties of the position include:
The ability to operate a welder. Cut and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.
Look at blueprints or plans for the finished products.
Fitting up and tack welding weldments.
Making jigs or fixtures for higher quantity orders.
Checking dimensions of assemblies or parts, overall quality, appearance, and soundness of welds.
Responsible for the quality of the projects he/she oversees.
Ability to TIG, MIG, Stick, flux core Steel, Stainless and Aluminum.
Maintain premises and equipment to the highest possible standards to maintain a professional image.
Ensure all PPE, safety and company rules are followed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirement for the position include:
1 year of manufacturing experience (preferred)
Thorough understanding of machines/tools used in welding (designs, uses, maintenance and repair).
Basic understanding of design techniques (plans, drawings, models, and blueprints).
Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments
