We are looking for an experienced commercial print estimator to join our excellent team. This is a full time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Only candidates with prior estimating experience will be considered.
Required experience:
Print Estimating sheet fed 5 years
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Desired result: Provides estimates in a format that is accurate organized and timely so that questions and confusion related to the estimate is avoided. Estimates must reflect the most efficient job plan given the available information and factory standards. This is accomplished by;
Prioritizing incoming estimating work and determine the order of priority to be worked given specifications time to complete and requested due dates.
Determine the most efficient production plan given job specifications and our plant's mix of equipment.
Estimating labor and material costs of printed matter based on specifications outlined on request for estimate form sale order or submitted by prospective customer.
Examine specifications and sample layouts and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and considering factors such as size and number of sheets or pages paper stock requirements binding operations number of units of color and quality of finished product to determine cost effective and competitive price.
Estimating cost of mailing finished printed matter if specified on order. Conferring with department heads of production personnel to develop or confirm information regarding various cost elements standards and practices.
Researching and developing written standards and technical notes that should be followed by other estimators, planners and production personnel. Become fluent in our MIS estimating system and verify estimates created electronically are accurate bringing any inconsistencies or issues to VP or Ops.
