Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Modesto, California. This role operates within the accounting industry and involves managing accounting staff and ensuring the smooth execution of various accounting functions. The workplace is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong grasp of accounting principles and practices. Responsibilities: Oversee the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, and collections Conduct weekly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records Ensure timely invoicing and payment of all items to maintain financial health Monitor and manage weekly job costs, ensuring all vendors are paid on time and early pay discounts are utilized Maintain a comprehensive list of logins for all vendors and update QuickBooks regularly Handle accounts receivable reviews on a weekly basis, including follow-ups on unpaid invoices Collaborate with the Project Coordinator on the bill list, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information Ensure daily billing of jobs to maintain a steady cash flow Oversee the creation and management of job numbers for cost tracking in QuickBooks Manage all billings, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time by the accounting team Work closely with the HR Manager to update and maintain office policies as necessary.For immediate consideration, please contact Robert Half at 209-232-1991Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Proficient in Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Experience with Auditing is necessary Proficient in Billing Functions Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with QuickBooks is necessary Knowledge of Job Cost is preferred Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary Proficient in handling Invoices Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
