We are looking for an Accounting Manager for our packaging company located in Modesto. This role is onsite 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Accounting Manager. They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be team-focused, and be able to build strong cross-functional relationships. The successful candidate will have experience meeting tight deadlines, completing period-end close, and driving audits.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs general accounting functions to support accurate & timely financial reporting
Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, adherence to payment terms, and appropriate internal controls.
Oversee the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, cash application, and reporting to optimize cash flow and maintain customer account integrity.
Oversee the tracking, capitalization, and depreciation of fixed assets. Ensure accurate recording of asset additions, disposals, and maintenance of fixed asset schedules
Maintains financial reports and records to support general ledger accounts
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
5-10 years of combined experience in general accounting, public accounting, cost accounting, and/or financial reporting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
3-5 years experience leading an accounting/finance team, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
