Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are on the lookout for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Mission Viejo, California. This role involves managing all activities related to accounts payable, including data entry, filing, and various AP paperwork. The position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity within our company. Responsibilities: Execute entry-level Accounts Payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Undertake filing duties to maintain and organize AP documentation. Assist in moving all accounting processes from Arizona to Mission Viejo. Work collaboratively with the accounting team to meet deadlines and complete tasks. Utilize Excel and QuickBooks to manage and analyze data. Show proficiency in an ERP System, specifically in matching purchase orders, invoices, and receipts. Display tech-savviness to efficiently use different accounting software and systems. Ensure all AP duties are completed within the standard 8-5 working hours. Continuously improve AP processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Liaise with other departments and external vendors to resolve AP-related issues. Requirements Possess at least one year of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform data entry tasks with high accuracy. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be advantageous.
