Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to support a non-profit organization located in Mission Valley. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering the opportunity to contribute to our mission while potentially becoming a permanent member of our growing organization.Responsibilities:
Process payroll for employees in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including tax withholdings, deductions, and benefits.
Collaborate with HR to gather and update employee information, such as new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
Generate and distribute payroll reports to various departments.
Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Provide excellent customer service to employees with payroll-related inquiries.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist.
Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
