Local trucking company looking for a full time Trailer Mechanic and fabricator.
Position Summary:
The Trailer Mechanic / Fabricator will be responsible for diagnosing and servicing all trailers in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Perform 90 day preventative maintenance on Trailers.
- Diagnose and repair faulty mechanical and electrical equipment components.
-Understand troubleshooting procedures and failure analysis of all components.
-Lift and install heavy components such as brake drums, wheels, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-5 Years' experience fabrication and trailer mechanic experience.
-Ability to follow schedules, instructions, wiring/hydraulic diagrams, maintenance guidelines and other procedures associated with the maintenance of trailers.
-Act as a team player
-Work effectively under stress and with minimal supervision.
-Bilingual is a plus but not necessary.
Education:
-High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
-Class A California Driver's License
-Graduation from Trade or Technical School
