IMMEDIATE START.
Any caregivers from IHSS looking for work please email me. However, if you are not an IHSS provider, I am willing to train and you will be retro payed. That is, if you are interested! It is 9 hours per day. Provider works 4 days on and then has 4 days off. About 141 hours/month.
Please note: As a provider, you may need to be available if the 2nd provider has a legitimate illness and cannot come into work. In this case, you may work more than 4 days a week.
IHSS Provider Chores:
For Quadriplegic (9 hours/day) Example Hours. Split Shifts: morning, afternoon, evenings. Split Shift Example: 6 AM to 9 AM; 1 PM to 4 PM; 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. So house visits are about 3x/day to 4x/day or hang out in guestroom.
Domestic and Personal care services are required.
Chores:
1. Domestic Services: Shopping, dusting, sweeping, throwing trash out, cooking, feeding, meal cleanup, washing clothes, basic miscellaneous cleaning, keeping stove and microwave clean and keeping windows, shower, mirrors or toilet clean.
2. Personal care services: bowel/bladder care, bathe, dressing, grooming, brushing teeth, skin care, turning, transfers, standing frame therapy, assistance to medical appointments, range of motion, and ability to note special needs as needed. Ability to learn and use lifting equipment such as the standing frame or Hoyer lift.
Terms of Service:
Providers with Great Communication, AVAILABILITY, be reliable, good hygiene (washing hands often before cooking or when working with client), reliability, consistency, on time, good attitude, capable of learning, honest and respectful and ability to follow daily directions. Must answer phone calls within a reasonable amount of time. Must follow directions consistently during the duration as a staff member. Changes of a system without permission are not permitted.
Must be able to show up to work on time. OR LEAVE A VERBAL MESSAGE OVER THE HOUSE ANSWERING MACHINE IF THEY CANNOT ARRIVE OR INDICATE IF WILL BE LATE.
Note: interviewer must be registered with IHSS. If not, interested to be trained, interviewer must pass fingerprinting, and go to the 3 hour IHSS seminar class: interviewer cost for fingerprinting and seminar is $35. However, client will always accept applications for future assistance, and would call on potential interviewer for availability if still available during that unknown time.
