Accounting Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized Accounting Clerk in Merced, California. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for performing various accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, data entry, and utilizing Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions. This role requires collaborative work with the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.Responsibilities: Perform accounts payable tasks including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor account reconciliation. Handle accounts receivable data entry, including posting customer payments and reconciling customer accounts. Process bill payments accurately and in a timely manner. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks such as data analysis and reporting. Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes. Assist with other accounting duties and projects as assigned. Requirements Proficiency in managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in data entry operations Familiarity with standard accounting procedures and principles Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Solid organizational and multitasking skills Willingness to continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
