Central Valley Cancer Center Inc. seeks a highly motivated professional to serve as a part time bookkeeper for hourly, part time position (aprox 6-8 hours/week). This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and can work well independently and in a team environment. Additionally, this position requires an individual with drive and positive attitude, and is focused on achieving results.
Essential Functions:
Prepares financial statements
Reconciles bank statement and general ledger accounts, ensures accuracy and timely resolution of issues
Uses Quickbooks and accounting principles to prepare reports
Budget planning and development
Cash flow analysis
Enter and process weekly invoices and payments as well as verifying accuracy
Interacts frequently with staff and management to provide information or reports or to receive directive or clarification on assigned duties
Coordinate with external accountant to prepare payroll, quarterly reports, annual 1099s, and W-2 reporting
Prepare standard journal entries and enters adjustment as needed for monthly financials
responds to payment inquiries, requests, statements and processes correspondence
updates and maintains vendor files by ensuring correct and complete W-9 documentation
Follows financials policies and procedure
performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Experience:
An associates or bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
Skills in:
Full charge bookkeeping
Payroll and related regulations
Budgeting, financial reporting and business planning
Knowledge of:
Generally Accepting Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards (FAS)
Accounting software programs such as quickbooks
Windows operating system, Microsoft Office software, Advanced Excel Access
Ability to:
Operate with high level of autonomy
Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
Operate at the highest level of integrity
Manage conflicting priorities so that critical needs are met
Physical demands and Work Enviornment:
These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, and lift files and reports. Exposure to glare from a computer. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
