Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for the role of a Sr. Accountant in our Non-Profit organization located in Menlo Park, California. The Sr. Accountant will be instrumental in analyzing complex financial problems, communicating financial concepts to non-finance users, and establishing effective working relationships. Responsibilities: Analyze and develop solutions for complex financial problems Effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance users Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization Apply informed decisions and judgment in financial matters Manage and organize multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities Work effectively as a team player and lead when necessary Maintain knowledge of computer systems and software used in accounting Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to the functional area Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP in daily tasks. Requirements Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant in the Non-Profit industry Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Ability to maintain and manage General Ledger Skilled in preparing and posting Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in executing Month End Close processes Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software Must have experience working with Oracle financial software Knowledge and experience in using SAP financial software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
