Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.Summary: The PSO New Products team is seeking a Manager who is passionate about driving product-market-fit for Facebook's newest Commerce Products. This lead is responsible for bringing operational strategy and process to both monetized and non-monetized product testing, ensuring that new features and products are ready for scaled release. This role will also be responsible for growing and developing a dynamic team by providing mentorship, guidance, and career development. The ideal candidate will be strong at cross-functional communication and project execution, knowledgeable about e-commerce & marketing, and have an aptitude for measurement and data analysis. They will advocate for the team's goals while balancing the needs of their cross-functional partners in Product Marketing and Product Management, including stakeholders. This Manager will also play an important role with the New Products' leadership team and across the larger Product & Service Operations org driving Commerce strategy. They will have a responsibility to influence strategic projects and drive alignment.Required Skills: Develops a dynamic and diverse team by providing mentorship, guidance, and career development
Leads a sub-function by showing complete ownership for vision, intent, goals, KPIs, roadmaps, etc.
Conducts prioritization conversations with product teams ensuring their program managers are set up for success in working on the right set of product launches
Evangelizes the team's efforts, communicates regularly (regarding critical fires, on-going issues, project updates, and other items) to keep necessary partners in the loop
Works extensively with cross-functional partners - e.g. Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Marketing Science, and Commerce Partnerships teams — in order to scope engagement models and align on business priorities
Works closely with their own manager to share ideas, challenges, etc. and agree on strategies to remove roadblocks, improve on ideas, prioritize work for themselves and the team
Manages stakeholder relationships across the Commerce Business Group, with Product & Service Operations and across Facebook Inc. to ensure alignment of priorities and secure necessary resources
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field
12+ years work experience in consulting, product strategy, operations or equivalent environment (or 8+ years experience with a Masters degree)
1+ years of people management experience, with experience attracting and scaling teams
Project management experience and experience running strategic projects with cross-functional teams
Communication and presentation experience with proven track record of working with executive level leaders
Knowledge of e-commerce, the advertising marketplace and ad products
Preferred Qualifications: Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and unstructured problems
Open, collaborative and proven team player, with experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance or support
Experience leading data-driven projects and experience communicating results and insights to cross-functional partners
Experience contributing at both strategic and operational levels
E-commerce industry experience
