Lead Data Collector - INTL London

Job DescriptionDo you enjoy playing with cutting-edge technology, being outdoors, and traveling?We are currently working with a major technology company to collect map data across a number of states. The collection of map data involves WALKING prearranged geographical routes equipped with a sensor inside a backpack. This sensor will scan and collect data of the geography and route you are following. This is a short-to-long term pilot project with ongoing needs. You may be invited to travel to other collection cities throughout the US after the initial collect.You will retrieve and transport the unit to assigned outdoor areas to walk/map. An average day you will walk approximately 4-5 hours. This collection will take place in and around San Francisco, Miami, London, & Toronto.Those who excel in these positions are: Former infantry Soldiers and Marines, GIS/geography background. Gamers, iOS/Mac users, Geocaching, photography buff.Responsibilities:Able to walk 4+ hours/day and carry up to 30 lbs. for extended periods of timeMust have capabilities to understand physical security protocolsMust be polite and courteous and be comfortable with public interactionsFollow security procedures to safeguard equipmentAble to read and understand instructionsReport issues on collection equipmentSkills and RequirementsExperience with iOS devices and be able to troubleshoot problems (iPhone, iPad, etc.) a plusPrevious experience in mapping or other related fields a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize and multitaskDeadline and detail-orientedGood physical condition with stamina for long periods of walking nullWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
