Description Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Menlo Park, California (On-site)Position Type: Full-TimeSoftware Requirement: NetSuiteOverview:A leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing innovative therapies located in Menlo Park. Is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in accounts payable, proficiency with NetSuite software, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently in NetSuite, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to verify the accuracy of charges and quantities.

Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Communicate with vendors to address inquiries, resolve payment issues, and maintain positive relationships.

Prepare and process electronic payments, including ACH transfers and wire transfers, in accordance with payment terms.

Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing and receiving, to ensure smooth processing of invoices and payments.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

3+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

Proficiency with NetSuite accounting software required.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
