Camp Navarro is seeking a Facilities and Grounds Manager. The ideal candidate has 3years+ of progressing facility maintenance/management experienceand has theskills to troubleshoot andperformroutine building maintenance and grounds keeping duties.This candidate is personable and represents Camp Navarro well withstaff, vendors,andguests and has a passion for nature and environmental stewardship.
Reporting to the General Operations Manager, the Facilities and Grounds Manager isresponsible for:
overseeing the Maintenance Department and directing the ongoing maintenance of property infrastructure and grounds to include buildings, equipment, lodging units, mechanical systems, roadways and landscaping at Camp Navarro on a daily basis to ensure the functionality of Camp Navarro.
Support the company in providingguests and staff with a secure, comfortable environment by developing and maintaining ongoing preventive maintenance programs and ensuring that all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with the standards of Camp Navarro.
Overseeand directs the maintenance of buildings, systems, equipment, grounds and landscaping at Camp Navarro on a daily basis
Ensure that the property maintains a positive image as northern California’s premier “back to nature” hospitality property.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Related field preferred. High school or equivalent and equivalent work experience. (Required),
Experience: 3 years or more of progressing facility maintenance/management experience.
Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and used by the guests who visit CN.
Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision including work planning, direction and personnel practices; applicable laws, codes, regulations and standards governing building construction and maintenance.
Knowledge of principles and practices of facility maintenance, grounds keeping and custodial including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, interior partitioning and finishing, landscape maintenance, irrigation, fertilization and pest control, and tree trimming;
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in building maintenance, and groundskeeping
Planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning and reviewing the work of others;
Knowledge of principles and processes for safe operations
Must have painting, carpentry or general maintenance skills.
Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems, mechanical and plumbing skill
Demonstrates ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.
Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks.
Evaluating and developing procedures, standards and methods for building maintenance and improvement, and groundskeeping
Ability to quickly problem solve and make sensible decisions.
Excellent interpersonal skills and recognition by others as a respected member of the team.
Must possess excellent attention to detail, a high level or organization, and the ability to multitask, follow through and re-prioritize well to meet deadlines on multiple projects.
Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and complies with all Camp Navarro standards.
Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs to include nights and weekends as well as situational/crisis availability
