General Contractor seeks experienced construction foreman/lead with experience in residential and commercial construction, including remodeling. Part-time to start with possibility of full-time work. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of rough carpentry, finish carpentry, structural concrete, and solid knowledge of the rest of the construction process. Must exhibit good judgment, have high standards for safety, good communication skills, receptive to feedback and be organized.
Job Duties:
Maintains jobsite(s) in good and organized order.
Reviews daily project progress and goals with Project Manager.
At times, works on multiple projects.
Coordinates with Project Manager any sub-contractor scheduling, monitors performance.
Conducts inspections as required at critical phases.
Works with Project Manager to resolve design problems; evaluate and implement change orders.
Conducts weekly safety meetings with the crew.
Maintains and/or obtains tools and tool repairs necessary to increase crew efficiency.
Skills, Qualifications and Expectations:
Must be able to work well with others and as a team player on all phases of construction with General Contractor, Project Manager and crew.
Prior supervisory experience.
Must be able to work independently.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Attention to detail
Required:
Valid California driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
Be in good physical condition, able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
