About the Position
The Office Manager is responsible for many of the administrative functions of Thanksgiving Coffee Company including but not limited to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, processing of payroll, onboarding and terminating employees, invoice data entry, customer maintenance, human resources, 401k, and end of month reporting requirements.
The Office Manager understands the general workflow of each department such that they can answer questions or assist in finding them. It is essential that this individual is a supremely organized self-starter with a desire to jump in and help-out where needed.
The Office Manager is a key conduit between departments and ensures that the office runs smoothly. Regularly checking in with team members will be important to understand and resolve issues.

The Ideal Candidate will have
3-5 years of experience in office management, including bookkeeping/accounting.
Microsoft Office - intermediate or advanced user.
ERP experience (Sage 100 preferred).
Proven ability to handle confidential information.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Strong organizational skills.
A self-starter with a can-do attitude.
Takes initiative to learn and take on new tasks. Asks questions!
Ability to manage competing priorities.
Comfortable in an office environment.
Capable of supporting a team.
Friendly and outgoing.
Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting:
Accounts Receivable to include full cycle AR.
Manage timecards and run payroll.
Track vacation, sick accruals and days taken.
Month end bank reconciliation and reports.
Process purchase orders.
Human Resources:
Onboarding and offboarding including for payroll and benefits.
Understand and be able to speak to benefit plans. Provide support during open enrollment.
Workers’ compensation claims.
Manage 401K plan and Heath & Welfare benefits. Upload contributions and oversee open enrollment. Be able to answer basic questions from staff and learn how to handle more complicated ones with support from CEO and/or HR Consultant.
Support employees with day-to-day questions.
Office:
Communicate and check in regularly with staff. Be a resource and advocate.
Understand at a basic level the roles and responsibilities of each staff member.
Support CEO with administrative tasks.
Be the hub for the office.
Pay and Hours
This position is onsite at our Fort Bragg office and is full-time, 4 days/week at $30 per hour.
