ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT needed at The Harbor House located in Elk, CA

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Employment type: Full-time, non-exempt

Compensation: Negotiable

The Harbor House Inn is a highly-acclaimed and award-winning luxury hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Elk, CA. The property is known for its outstanding and personable accommodations, on-site 2-star Michelin restaurant, and unforgettable service.

We are actively seeking for an experienced and well-mannered Administrative Assistant to join our team in beautiful Elk, CA. In this position you will be managing staff payroll/timecards, general purchasing, and all day-to-day administrative tasks required for a hospitality environment. A strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information will make you a valued member of our hotel operations staff.

Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:

Assisting with general administrative/HR/accounting tasks

Review and verify employees' worked hours and timesheets

Assisting of documentation for payroll processing reporting

Reviewing ADP records for accuracy

Work with the Human Resources team to ensure accurate and timely HR-related reporting

Scanning and processing accounting related documents

Perform various administrative tasks to support the management team

Fulfill office tasks as needed

Preferred qualifications and abilities:

Proven experience as an administrative assistant

1+ years of experience with general administration and payroll

A strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, etc.)

Knowledge of ADP or similar payroll systems is highly preferred

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in administrative and financial record keeping

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Ability to prioritize competing time sensitive tasks and deliverables

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills utilizing a positive attitude

Knowledge of basic and typical office equipment and how to operate them

Advanced problem-solving skills are a plus

Independent work ethic is highly desired
