Plus, a cash allowance of approximately $600/month
The Adult and Aging Services Division of the Human Services Department (HSD) is looking for qualified candidates interested in helping low income older adults and people with disabilities remain safely and independently in their homes.
This Home Care Support Assistant position provides in-home support services to clients who do not have an IHSS provider, such as house cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, assistance with personal care and hygiene, and help with interviewing caregivers. This position will also perform office duties, such as:Entering and updating database records
Assembling informational packets and mailings
Making monthly phone calls to the Registry of caregivers to update their availability
Assisting with set-up, check in, and paperwork distribution/collection for group meetingsThe ideal candidate will possess:Experience providing in-home support services to a diverse cultural and socioeconomic population
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly desirableWhat We Offer
