Winery Cellar/Harvest Intern for Dancing Crow
Dancing Crow Vineyards in Hopland, CA is seeking a couple Harvest team members to help with winemaking activities during the harvest season in 2024. This is a chance to earn some good money, stay in shape with physical work, and learn more about the winemaking process and what all goes into turning grapes into a bottle of wine.
The Dancing Crow Vineyards harvesting season will likely last from August – October, with potential opportunities for more work outside of the harvest season if someone is an exceptional fit. Come and work with a small team of 3-4 individuals in all aspects of winemaking. We are looking for full-time help in the winery during the Harvest season and there definitely be overtime available as well. Some overtime is mandatory due to timing. Hourly pay is competitive within the market and will be between $20-$24 depending on experience.
Harvest duties will consist of:
Cleaning and crush-pad preparation.
Sorting and processing of fruit.
Pumpovers and punch downs.
Pressing and wine/juice transfers.
Barrel prep and filling.
Fermentation tracking and additions.
Equipment Sanitation.
Cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning.
Qualifications:
Must be able to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Must be eligible for employment in the US.
Ability to work at least 6 days/week at the winery in Hopland, CA
Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly.
Willingness to communicate, learn and be part of a team.
Ability to speak Spanish is a major positive.
Willingness to learn from more experienced supervisors and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work at least one weekend day is required.
