Description Robert Half is looking for Accounts Receivable Specialist in Martinez, California. This role is within the construction/contractor industry and will involve overseeing the billing and collections processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and maintaining effective collection strategies to optimize cash flow.Responsibilities: Prepare and issue accurate and timely AIA invoices to clients, ensuring all billing procedures comply with company policies and client contracts. Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues promptly. Manage Pre Liens, Mechanic Liens, Stop payment notices, Conditional Progress Lien releases, Unconditional Progress Lien releases and Final Lien releases, ensuring lien rights are protected throughout the job’s duration. Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize outstanding receivables. Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts. Negotiate payment plans with clients when necessary and ensure adherence to agreed terms. Post incoming wires, checks and payments to the general ledger. Process incoming credit card payments. Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status, collections progress, and cash flow. Address client inquiries and concerns regarding invoices and payments in a professional and timely manner. Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance billing and collections processes. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites is required Must possess knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential Familiarity with Billing Functions is necessary Sage 300 skills are required A background in the construction/contractor industry is desirable Must be able to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
