Sr. Accountant

Description Real estate firm on the Westside seeking a Sr. AccountantPlease email resume to Eric Herndon for considerationWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Marina Del Rey, California. This role involves overseeing accounting functions for multiple entities within our commercial real estate portfolio. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all financial information, month-end close activities, reconciling general ledger accounts, and participating in special projects.Responsibilities: Oversee the production of financial statements and analysis for partners and stockholders Generate financial reports and analysis based on management's needs including interpretation of partnership agreements, management fee analysis, tax analysis, and other ad-hoc management reports Prepare and formally present multiple year cash flow projections Maintain capital balances for each of the partnerships and produce semi-annual distributions Prepare and record annual budget with monthly variances Report on a comparative basis, aged delinquencies, lease expirations, month-to-month tenants, and existing vacancies Maintain and interpret commercial tenant lease information and enter key provisions into Yardi software for lease administration Produce monthly tenant billings which include rent, estimated common area maintenance, property tax, property insurance, and other actual reimbursement charges Annually reconcile property tax and property insurance with actual charges and review tax returns prepared by outside CPA Utilize Yardi Systems, Inc. Property Management Software and extensive use of Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft software programs. Key skills required for this role include General Ledger, Yardi, and Financial Statement Preparation.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar Proficiency in General Ledger is required Experience with Yardi is a must Demonstrated ability in Financial Statement Preparation is necessary A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required Must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is necessary Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus Experience with tax preparation and auditing is preferred Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is necessary Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting standards is required Experience with budget forecasting and financial analysis is preferred.
