The Associate Director, Facilities Operations is responsible for the daily, effective operation and management ofall MDRH facilities.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks collaboratively with the Director for the daily twenty-four (24) hour planning, organizing, directing andcontrolling of the daily operations of facilities and ensures safe, efficient operations.Helps develops and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and theplant operations.Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standardsand licensure requirements.Works collaboratively with various departments to ensure regulatory compliance for audits, permits, cityinspections, and hospital specific requirements.Responsible for budget management, labor, variance reports, supply cost management, and resourceallocation.Develops business and operations plans for the unit and for specific programs and services within it.Collaborates with senior management in cross-functional process improvement, collaborative teamwork,open communication and problem solving to ensure the effective coordination and integration of services withand between units.Knowledge of TJC, CMS, Title 22, Fire and Life Safety, and all applicable regulatory standards. Is able tofacilitate and manage the EOC meetings. Participates in routine EOC rounds and collaborates with all majorstakeholders to achieve optimal operating conditions.Exceptional record keeping and organization.Coordinates and oversees renovations, modifications and works collaboratively with FDPC for newconstruction. Works with engineers and architects to solve mechanical and building system deficiencies.Provides space planning options and alternatives on drawings and floor plans. Provides recommendations onutilizing available space to meet the business needs.Manages productivity through work order volume, completion rates, resolves barriers to completion, andassigns staff to support.Leads QAPI projects, Performance monitoring, Team development, Process Optimization. KPI’s forbenchmarking.Holds huddles and meetings with staff to maintain engagement and productivity. Develops employees tomeet ever changing competencies and serve the growing demands of the facility. Coordinates educationalopportunities and in-service education for staff.Manages contracts for preventative maintenance of critical utilities and facility operations.Holds vendors accountable for high reliability, safety, and scope of work.Clinical Engineering oversight: contract compliance, quality, accounting and budget.
