Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Assist Product Developers to successfully manage the Development process, end to end, and deliver product on-time. The Assistant Product Developer will assist with clerical tasks, tracking and receiving packages according to the WIP, checking product back to original specifications, and communicating internally/externally. Data entry and systems maintenance is a key area for this position. The Assistant Product Developer will help in other areas as needed. This position works on both Men’s& Women’s apparel, across multiple categories.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

  • Data entry in Flex / Compass

  • WIP / Sample Tracking

  • Fit Log Updates & pulling reference samples

  • Filing samples / folders

  • Receive packages & distribute accordingly

  • Send comments & communicate with overseas teams

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assistant will be trained on system.

  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have general apparel knowledge of garments and construction

  • Excel, Word, Outlook, Illustrator

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail oriented and must check their work before handing off

  • Basic math skills required

  • Team Player, Positive & Flexible Attitude.

  • Self-Starter, Proactive, Inquisitive, Creative Problem Solver

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE1-2+ years in Apparel Product Development or Production teamAssociates of Arts or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long period of times.
