Senior Accountant

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Malibu, California, 90265, United States. The role is in the commercial real estate industry and involves overseeing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and managing complex accounting projects. Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of both standard and non-standard journal entries. Conduct variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations. Monitor and review potential fraudulent activity on accounts regularly. Prepare bank reconciliations and financial statements. Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules. Assist in the month-end and year-end close process. Manage cashflows and budgets. Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting team. Perform special projects as assigned. Handle various other duties as delegated. Utilize Yardi Property Management, Yardi Enterprise, and Yardi Software in daily work. Requirements Possession of a Bachelors / Honours Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Yardi, Yardi Enterprise, Yardi Property Management, and Yardi Software. Specialized knowledge in Commercial Real Estate is highly desirable. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional certification such as CPA would be considered an asset.
