Rack & Stack Equipment - Rack and stack servers, switches, routers, and other equipment as required. Replace failed components such as hard drives, batteries, and fans. Decommission Servers - Assist in the decommissioning of approximately 100 physical and virtual servers per month: Review the ServiceNOW queue to identify or validate the servers that are to be decommissioned, reconcile the list and check against AD (Active Directory). Prepare a plan for physical removal of servers from Data Center. Maintain Equipment Inventory-Maintain an accurate inventory diagram & spreadsheet to reflect the correct model numbers, serial numbers, and locations of equipment in the data center. Remove / Eliminate Old Data Center Old Equipment and Clutter - Track equipment that needs to be removed, decommissioned, and eWasted. Work with the eWaste team to schedule destruction of selected equipment. Support Tape Backup Activities - Assist with tape backups, including the transport to and from the Iron Mountain third-party vendor. Ensure tape containers are ordered regularly and per the schedule. Track Capacity & Resources - Assist with tracking the usage or resources in the data center. Review capacity and usage reports and proactively address potential capacity issues. Update Data Center Procedures - Work with other Recovery & Data Center Operations team members to create and streamline the data center procedures for all three data centers.Vacancy caducado!
