We are an online publishing company that produces high-quality ebooks and audiobooks in various genres and niches. We are looking for a remote proofreader to join our team and ensure that our books are flawless before they are published.
As a remote proofreader, you will be responsible for:
Reviewing and editing ebooks and audiobooks for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style errors
Providing feedback and suggestions to improve the flow and consistency of the books
Ensuring that the books follow the specific genre and format guidelines required by the company or the platforms
Collaborating with authors, editors, and managers to meet deadlines and quality standards
Staying updated on the latest trends and best practices in online publishing and proofreading
To be successful in this role, you will need:
At least some level of experience as a proofreader, preferably in an online publishing company or a similar environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A keen eye for detail and accuracy
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Kindle Create
Knowledge of various genres and formats, such as romance, thriller, fantasy, non-fiction, etc.
