Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Driver to deliver and pick up mobile storage units for our customers. This role requires safe driving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to spend long hours on the road. The ideal candidate will also have experience with heavy-duty forklifts for loading and unloading storage units.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a truck and trailer to transport mobile storage units to customer locations.
Use a heavy-duty forklift to load and unload mobile storage units.
Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of units to specified locations.
Verify the placement of storage units, ensuring they are secure and meet customer needs.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times.
Complete required paperwork, including delivery and pickup logs.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Be prepared for long hours on the road, covering various delivery areas.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license
Experience driving trucks and trailers.
Good driving record with no recent major violations.
Experience operating heavy-duty forklifts is required.
Ability to work long hours on the road and handle extended driving periods.
Previous experience in delivery or transportation is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, as required.
