The Metropolitan Water District has a need for a Welder/Fabricator (Operations & Maintenance Technician II Welder/Fabricator) to join their team at the F.E. Weymouth Water Treatment Plant in La Verne, CA.

Job Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· 2 years of experience in welding/fabrication
· Flux Cord Certification (Required)
· Stick Welding Certification (Required)
· Personable, team player, flexible, multitask and handles pressure well.
· Detail orientated, organized, strong written and verbal communication skills a must.
· No Cal PERS Membership
Other:
· This position is a temporary assignment for up to 6 months.
· Schedule: 4/10 Mon-Thurs (10 hours daily/ 4 days per week)
· Able to flit 50 lbs.
· Able to stand for long periods of time.
· Exposure to equipment and tools producing high levels of noise, as well as potentially dangerous materials and chemicals that require careful adherence to extensive safety precautions, rules, and regulations.
