Our technicians work in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley area to service and program security alarms, fire alarms, and surveillance video and equipment in custom homes and/or businesses. A technician's day-to-day responsibilities may include the repair, replacement, or troubleshooting of security related equipment and/or wiring, while ensuring all work is completed to our customer's satisfaction and in accordance with company policies and procedures and relevant city building and fire codes.
Work Schedule and Pay
The schedule for this position is 8am-4:30pm, from Tuesday – Saturday:
Technicians report to their first call by 8am daily
When parts replenishment is needed will report to our Operations Office located in Santa Monica, CA.
All jobs are located within a 50-mile radius of the Santa Monica or Bel Air Offices and routes are assigned based on where the technician lives to maximize efficiency.
Required Skills:
3-5 years prior "on-the-job" experience as an Alarm, Fire, or CCTV Technician.
- Fire Alarm Technician Certification is a BIG Plus
- CCTV knowledge of installation, servicing, and troubleshooting is a BIG Plus
- Certified and Licensed C7 or C10 Contractors are a BIG Plus
Experience and working knowledge of DSC Neo, Honeywell Vista Series, Qolsys IQ & IQ Pro, 2GIG, Alarm.com communicators, app, and associated devices, CCTV cameras and NVR programming, troubleshooting, and installation is recommended

Essential Duties/Responsibilities for Security Alarm Technician
Check schedule of assigned jobs and plan for them 2j-5 days in advance
Perform extensive programming on physical system or sensors and navigate system programming on alarm and/or CCTV systems
to correct issues and address customer's questions and concerns alarm
Install all necessary sensors or devices per manufacturer’s specifications for optimal performance, while also taking into account the customer's needs and wishes
Demonstrate equipment functions and usage to customers
Perform real-time tests on equipment that was either touched during the service visit, or previously specified on the job ticket or by the customer
Utilize and interpret location maps, blueprints, and schematic drawings
