We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rough Carpentry Estimator / Project Manager with a strong background in commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of rough carpentry techniques, materials, and costs associated with commercial buildings. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in estimating and project management capabilities to ensure successful project execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for rough carpentry work based on project plans, specifications, and site visits.
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other documentation to determine materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive bids and negotiate pricing.
Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accuracy.
Project Management:
Manage and oversee multiple commercial rough carpentry projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating activities.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and other contractors, to provide updates and address concerns.
