Need a part time only rf/electronics tech- employee who is super flexible who can preferably work sun,mon , and or fri morn. Someone who can work tenatively for different days and times or at minimum the days above.
I really need someone within 20 miles of me because of this reason. Also i prefer shorter work days like 4 to 6 hrs per day max.

Because i already found the perfect employee… well almost…. Because he doesnt want to work more than 3 days doing tues thru thurs. Which i can respect……
But alas biz is booming off the charts and i need more help with the workload whos experienced and knows what theyre doing in this field ;)

Looking for someone with a healthy back and able to lift up to 70 lbs items on a rare occasion up on benches and up stairs and down and packed into boxes . But generally the job requires lots of moving 45 lb machines .
So female ok but you got to be technical and nerdy and strong!
prefer 50 and under because I need to be able to relate to you because we will be working together side by side all day long in training and working half the time. and it will take months to years to learn all this stuff , plus at 55 + your back starts getting weak and Ive had too many problems with employees with back issues. major plus if you workout with heavy weights regularly or just have thick bones . fyi: Im 43

The job will be working with me all day as my assistant in training , and i work outta my house which has been converted to 75% workplace which includes my extensive pro music/recording studio…which is why musician or recording engineer a major plus!
The work is repairing, calibrating and reselling expensive ,very delicate 1.5-50 GHZ microwave frequency test equipment : mainly spectrum analyzers that hit 50 ghz , signal generators and sweepers, network analyzers , counters and oscilloscopes,etc
good knowledge and professional experience in electronics troubleshooting with probes and voltmeters is highly preferred. Higher frequency, probing microwave gold bonded circuits knowledge would be ideal.
You must be the type of person who got good grades in high school and or college + has at least some college courses in electronics or electrical engineering with a focus on rf . Because this work demands a helluva mind! I am mostly self taught but it took me so many years to get as good at it as I am now. I wish when I was younger I went to college for that.
If youre not good at troubleshooting complex things, this is not for you as you will need to read schematics and block diagrams of rf modules and electronic pcb boards as well as navigate service and user manuals that are 500 pages long!
You will also need to learn how the electronics correlate with the rf displayed on screen, or outputted from the test equipment those pcb boards go inside.
( all our systems have similar crossover designs (a Front End which incorporates all of the higher freq rf paths where usually we use high freq microwave modules that look like alien technology inside and rely on micro gold bonder machines, ., then down converts to several If's which are used to either mix rf inputs with local oscillators which can be vco,yto or fixed at the right freq,) OR bring the signal down to one frequency in the 10-350 mhz range with attenuating the signal greatly, so the PCB boards which have mixers, oscillators,multipliers,amplifiers, detectors,phase detectors , down converters, frac n circuits, inductors,regulators, coils,EM interference, and shielding for that, etc) will be able to process it effectively
because these boards cant handle High freq RF. (only the alien circuits in the Rf modules can) Ill post a pic
Must work well under stress and be very easy going overall. This work is not for everyone but if youve ever had an interest in electronics or high frequency systems like cell sites and phones , radar, satellite communication,self driving vehicles, airplane and nasa instrumentation, wireless internet, anti theft keys, testing car batteries, repairing amplifiers and any electronics,calibration aka metrology or rf in general …. Then this might be the right career for you!

If youre an audio engineer and tired of not making a good living off it, and know basic rf test equipment , electronics design and or troubleshooting already, this is gonna be right up your alley. The last few people who worked for me found it very easy to transition since you use a lot of the same theory of acoustics and propagation like reflections, amplitude , resonant frequencies, frequency build up nodes or standing waves,etc

This is a highly focused job and one wrong move or slip can cost 1000easily.not only that theres so much knowledge to aquire to do the job effectively, thus my offer for payment:
15to 25to start depending on your qualifications, . If youre already a good troubleshooter and know test equipment rf units well, 25an hr to start and after youre fully trained 28an hr -40an hr if you include bonuses which I give often for exceptional work that saves me a lot of money or makes me a lot.
I also offer partnership deals where you can either invest money and or time and give you a 25 to 50 percent split of profit. This is where the real money and excitement is in this biz. Items sell for as much as 16kso you can understand and a lot of those items we would be doubling or tripling our profit depending on how lucky we are in purchasing the items with what needs to be repaired and how expensive those parts are or if we can fix them at no to little cost in house.then the profit it would divided to each % based on the agreement. The job also includes: sometimes packing, shipping large boxes , making labels, generating cal certs, organizing tools and work area, talking with clients, possibly advertising and lubing and finding great deals. which would make you much more money on top of hourly if youre a great networker. this kind of work I can offer 20to start and move it up to 25eventually once you get really efficient and fast.
Your hours and days would be super flexible and your choice. You could come help last minute or suddenly take the day off no problem. I work 6 days a week (no saturdays)so any days you can make it and for how long is convenient for you , is all your choice! even work from home on occasion if needed once you build up your own home test station which you will . Having a little spot in the garage or spare room helps with this.
Theres no legal paperwork because you would be paid as a sub contractor . So you claim tax as an entrepeneur. You may need to get yourself workmans comp insurance as well as the job can be treacherous at times.
Most of the biz hovers around ebay. So its mostly an online ebay biz ( search on my ebay store username: (testcalinstruments) where you will take over almost all the duties that i have.
. Come in casual wear. Feel free to have a few beers on the job thruout the day. But when we need to get serious we do and you will need to as well. A lot of its comparable to a surgeons work or that childhood game we all loved that went beeeeep!
Having a steady hand is very important ! You will occasionally solder tiny chips (surface mount and hole thru)on pcb boards often ,so soldering experience is a major plus especially using blowers ,solder paste,flux, solder suckers with vacuums. But i can help teach all of these things if you decide to stay on board a few yrs min. Please no one apply whos planning on moving anytime soon. This is a career! And a life long investment i hope!
Your title will be rf engineering tech. Which is a branch of electrical engineering that specializes in microwave freq systems. Most of your duties at the higher rate pay is doing extensive calibrations and troubleshooting to make sure the equipment IE : spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and vector network analyzers; will pass spec and therefore be calibrateable. This is important for all my purchases, sales , and client repairs as well as parts I sell. So you will need to be up to snuff on all the rf specs to accomplish this. ( I can train you on this , but you must have some previous experience because it will take years if you dont and I needed someone yesterday!)
There are investment opportunities to make bank in this biz! Big time! So potentially you can make nearly 40 or 50an hr sometimes.maybe 200or more an hr sometimes even!
ive been learning rf for 19 years now. However Im a newb to electronics, But Im learning really fast at it and for the higher wage, I really need an electronics teacher who really knows their stuff and has worked in the industry and not just tinkered their whole lives with it. Because some of these circuits are going to take some really good knowledge of both rf/microwave tech and electronics.
Keep in mind I am semi-disabled meaning I can walk usually, and stand for brief periods but i get back attacks often and need major assistance in all aspects of the job.
