We are a full-service Landscape Design Company specializing in the design and construction of one-of-a-kind, unique projects that include streams, waterfalls, ponds, and drought-tolerant landscaping. We operate in beautiful locations such as Malibu, Thousand Oaks, the Hollywood Hills and the San Fernando Valley.
Currently, we are in search of a Landscape Operations Manager who will serve as a key leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the landscape and irrigation crew and projects. Working closely with all crew members, you will play a vital role in ensuring project success, client satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide strong leadership to a team of crew members
-Promote effective communication daily within the operations team and with clients to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and expectations
-Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes
-Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations
-Proactively identify and address project challenges, providing timely solutions to keep projects on track
-Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices
-Adopt a positive and productive team culture, supporting professional development and growth opportunities for team members
-Allocate field personnel so each job is appropriately staffed
-Review plans, specifications and schedule to ensure thorough understanding of the scope of work
-Supervise field laborers and subcontractors
-Participate in meetings
-Understands Building Rules and Regulations
-Maintains a clean job site at all times
-Document punch lists
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to speak Spanish and English
- Must have transportation to and from work
- Must have a working cell phone
- Must be able to pass criminal background checks
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds +
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of landscaping experience
EDUCATION: Knowledge of native and drought tolerant plants to Southern California. Ground up project experience a plus. Must have an understanding of complete irrigation principles, techniques and methods
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to read and interpret English
CLIENT FOCUS: Must have a strong client-centric approach with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications with an understanding of technology required onsite
LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Proven excellent leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams. Must be enthusiastic and professional. Must be a dependable, self-motivated team player. Must be able to adapt to changing project requirements and manage multiple priorities effectively
